Multiple-Choice Examinations: Two externally set exams:

• Principles of Terror Threat Awareness (10 questions, 20 minutes).
• Principles of Minimising Personal Risk (16 questions, 25 minutes).

• Learners must be 16 years or older (an SIA license can only be applied for at age 18).
• A valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate is required before starting the course, unless the first aid training is delivered as part of the program.
